Hi and welcome!

I'm Mel, a mum of two (grown up now). I live in a four bed house in Cheshire with my husband and two cats. I work in education, as well as my other passion of interiors, as a content creator and interiors and DIY obsessive....I like to be busy! I've always loved interiors, styling, DIY, pretty much anything home related. We've done a few home renovations, our current home is 20 years old and it's now more of an ongoing revamp.

I started my instagram account my_neutral_place nearly three years ago, pretty much on a whim and mainly to document all of the faffing and changing that I did to my home on a very regular basis! I had NO IDEA what I was doing on instagram, it's been a learning curve and a roller coaster and I've LOVED EVERY MINUTE! I've worked with brands I never thought would be an option, both creating content for their web sites and social media and also showcasing their brand via my instagram account. Oh and also blogs!
